Arianna Huffington is a Greek-American author and syndicated columnist. She is famous for her news website The Huffington Post. Born in Athens, Greece on July 15, 1950, she is the daughter of journalist and management consultant Konstantinos and wife Elli Stasinopoulos. It was in the year 1973 when she became notable for her book The Female Woman. She also wrote a number of articles for National Review during the 1980s.
So what is her secret to be able to maintain a healthy and fit body? According to her in an interview, “I start my day by drinking hot water with lemon and doing 20 to 30 minutes of breathing meditation. After that I jump on my stationary bike for 30 minutes while I check e-mail on my iPhone. I finish up with 10 minutes of Yoga stretches. Three times a week I also have a trainer either in New York or L.A., and we lift weights.”
And what about her diet? “My eating habits are simple: I much prefer grilled fish and vegetables over fine cuisines with complicated sauces,” she stated. “I find it easier to eliminate certain food groups than to only have one bite here or there, so I gave up refined sugar years ago. I don’t miss it at all.”
