Anna Friel, originally named Anna Louise Friel, is an English actress. She was born on 12th of July, 1976 in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, England to parents Julie and Desmond Friel. Growing up with a huge interest in acting, she was sent to Oldham Theatre Workshop to learn acting. She had her first TV appearance when she was 13 and was hired to play as the daughter of Michael Palin’s character in the TV series G.B.H. Her first performance was quite impressive that’s why she was hired for series of roles for the next couple of months and years. She particularly appeared in The Tribe, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Me Without You, Perfect Strangers and many other TV series and films. She had her breakthrough in the year 2007 when she was cast for the main role in the comedy-drama TV series Pushing Daisies. Recently she was seen in the British film The Look of Love alongside Steve Coogan and Imogen Poots.

According to the celebrated actress, she works her body by resorting to a WaterRower machine, a handcrafted rowing machine with “water flywheel” that imitates the feel of when you’re rowing through the water. She says in one of her interviews, “I love hearing the sound of the water you can imagine you’re really rowing.” Plus, it also gives out a very relaxing feeling. And you don’t even know that you’re already moving your muscles!
As for her diet, Anna says she maintains a balanced diet and doesn’t overeat in order to stay fit and healthy.
