Alicia Jayne Coutts, OAM was born on September 14, 1987 in Brisbane, Australia. She is an Australian medley, butterfly, and freestyle swimmer. The daughter of Gary Coutts, she is famous for representing Australia at the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2012 Summer Olympics, and the 2010 Commonwealth Games. In the year 2008, she also competed for the Summer Olympics where she finished fifth in the 200 m individual medley.
When Alicia was interviewed by Body and Soul Australia, she shared that running on a treadmill is one of the things that complete her fitness routine. She said, “I run on a treadmill three times a week for training and I find it really boring. To help me stay motivated, I set little goals: I’ll try to run a kilometre in a certain time or I’ll put the pace up for 500m.”
Now let’s get to know her diet secrets. “My on-the-go snack is a small tub of no-sugar Greek yoghurt with a few spoonfuls of bircher muesli,” she shared. “Eating that, rather than toast, helped me lose weight. If you have to cut down on portion sizes, try having quinoa for dinner instead of rice or pasta. It’s high in protein so it will keep you fuller for longer.”
