American actress, model, and producer Kimberly Alexis Bledel, simply known as Alexis Bledel, was born on September 16, 1981 in Houston, Texas to Nanette and Martin Bledel. Growing up being shy and reserved, Alexis was encouraged by her mother to join the community theater to boost her confidence, which she tried. She particularly had her appearances in several local productions such as of Our Town and The Wizard of Oz.
