Hollywood actress Abbie Cornish was born in Lochinvar, New South Wales, Australia on 7th August 1982, to parents Barry and Shelley Cornish. She is also the sister of Actress Isabelle Cornish and 3 brothers.
Abbey grew up on a farm of 70-hectare (170-acre) and attended a Catholic School in Australia. She started her career by modelling for Dolly Magazine. She was then award the Young Actors Award for her acting role in “Wildside” as Australian Television show. During this time she was offered her first movie role in “The Monkey’s Mask”. Since then she has appeared in many award winning films such as “Sucker Punch” as the female character Sweet Pea.
As Abbie grew up on a farm with many animals, she decided to become a vegetarian at the age of 13 and since then continues to be a great inspiration for prospective and already established vegetarians. In fact, in 2008, she was voted “Australia’s Sexiest Vegetarian”. Because of her love for animals Abbie is involved herself heavily with the Australian animal rights group Voiceless.
Abbie keeps fit by running on the beach in Sydney. She also incorporates yoga , and full body workouts in and outside of the gym.
