Zoe Ball, originally Zoë Louise Ball, is an English television and radio personality. She is well-recognized for being the first female host of The Radio 1 Breakfast Show. She is also popular for being the presenter of the 1990s children’s show Live & Kicking. Born on November 23, 1970 in Blackpool, United Kingdom, she is the the daughter of Johnny Ball and Julia Ball and the mother of Nelly May Lois Cook and Woody Fred Cook. These days, she appears on the TV show Can’t Touch This as a co-presenter.

According to Zoe in one of her interviews, dancing will always be her favorite form of exercise. She said that even if she doesn’t do much dancing these days, she really tries hard to. She explained, “I don’t get to do much dancing these days because of what I call my ‘dicky disco hip’, which I claim was caused by doing the splits every night on the Strictly tour after the 2005 show. Pole dancing is out of the question. We had a pole installed in our bedroom in the wild old days but I was never very good – it’s harder than it looks. We are having some renovations done and the decorator suggested taking it down but the pole stays – not for me, but for the kids, who love to slide up and down it pretending it’s a fireman’s pole.”

She continued, “Even when I do get on a dancefloor these days, I am mum dancing – I never used to dance like that. Is it age? Is it being a mum? It’s tragic, really. I dance like my Auntie Silvia at a wedding and it just isn’t cool.”
