Vidyut Jamwal - CelebHealthy_comIndian actor Vidyut Jamwal was born on December 10, 1980 in Jammu, India. A trained martial artist, he was able to learn kalaripayat when he was still at the age of three. He is popular for his labels “The New Age Action Hero of Bollywood” and “India’s New Action God. He started to appear on screen as an actor in the year 2011 and since then, he became more and more popular.

In one of his interviews, Vidyut shared his typical workout routine. He explained, “I train from 6 am to 11 am and from 5 pm to 9 pm. I train everyday anywhere between 6 to 8 hours. I have been practicing a variety martial arts like kalaripayattu, jiu jitsu, etc. from a very young age. Also, I practice gymnastics with my trainer and other friends. I’m not really a gym person so I hit the gym 3 to 4 times a week for strength training and work on my legs, shoulders, etc. I believe that the body has wisdom of its own and in order to fine tune it, one must workout and indulge in adequate exercise.”

Now what about his diet? “I eat four meals a day and avoid oily food and aerated drinks,” he said. “I am a vegetarian since the age of 14. Being vegetarian is much healthier and it keeps one mentally agile as well. I drink protein shakes everyday but my main source for protein is tofu. I don’t really adhere to a strict diet as I believe that our food should contain a balance of all the basic tastes i.e. sweet, sour and salty.”
