Victoria Azarenka, a Belarusian professional tennis player, was born on July 31, 1989. She started competing for tennis tournaments in the year 2003, joining the ITF junior tour which was held in Israel. The said tournament earned her one doubles title together with Olga Govortsova who was also from Belarus. When she reached the semi-finals, she was defeated by Ana Ivanovic who was then the eventual runner-up. In 2006, she flew to Memphis for another tournament and eventually defeated Nicole Vaidišová. The same year, she went to Miami and also defeated Jelena Janković. She was then ranked no. 96 worldwide in the year 2007 when she went to Australia to participate in two tournaments. Unfortunately, she lost the second round and wasn’t able to qualify for the Moorilla Hobart International. In 2010, she participated the Hong Kong Tennis Classic exhibition and was able to defeat Gisela Dulko. In 2012, she experienced her grand slam championship which made her become one of the greatest athletes these days.
When Victoria was asked in one of her interviews about her workout routine, she said that she occasionally plays water polo as well as volleyball. She usually mixes everything up. “Lots of athletes do it because it’s very easy on your body. It’s a good change from all the time we spend on hard surfaces,” she explained.
For her diet, she works with a nutritionist so as to make certain that she’s eating the right types of foods. According to her, she usually eats carbs during breakfast and lunch. In addition, she avoids sweets and processed foods. “Not too much ice cream or cake, which I love,” Victoria shared. “But I also love coffee and the nutritionist says I can have up to four cups a day.”
