Thomas James Tune, better known as Tommy Tune, is an American actor, dancer, singer, theatre director, producer, and choreographer. He was born on February 28, 1939 in Wichita Falls, Texas, United States to parents Eva Mae Clark and Jim Tune. He made his Broadway debut as a performer in the musical Baker Street in the year 1965. Over the years, he became known for his Broadway musicals works by which he was the one who directed and choreographed.
In one of his interviews, Tommy shared that he usually does Half-hour Bikram Yoga. In fact, he has been performing this workout for already 40 years now. In addition, he coordinates with trainer Matt Grace for three days a week. “I do 100 push-ups and 50 jackknife sit-ups and then weights,” he shared.
He said that he also spends his two remaining days to voice teacher Joan Lader. According to him, “She works with the big box, which is your chest and lung region, and the little box, which is your throat and larynx. I tell you, when I finish, I am as physically worked out as from my other training.” Now what about his diet? Well, he stays away from carbs. “I do believe the low-carb diet works,” he said.
