American actress and singer Taraji Penda Henson was born on September 11, 1970 in Washington D.C. to parents Bernice Gordon and Boris Henson. While studying at Howard University, Taraji used to work two jobs by which she served as a secretary in the morning while she worked as a waitress at night. Her hard work paid her off when she graduated with a degree in Theater Arts. Determined to pursue acting, she was able to launch her first acting role in the year 1997 when she was cast for the role Briana in the TV sitcom Sister, Sister. Soon after her first appearance, she once again proved her impressive acting skills when she was starred in the American sitcom Smart Guy. She also appeared on some notable films such as The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Family That Preys, and The Good Doctor.
To stay naturally sexy and curvy, Taraji does only minimal workout. She admits in one of her interviews, “I only work out when I’m training for something specifically, or if I need to bulk up.” However, if she works out hard, she does specific exercises like cardio exercises and dancing.
When it comes to diet, she says she’s really a certified foodie. But she always reminds herself to minimize her food intake in order to avoid calories. “I love food,” said Taraji. “So I just try to eat as few calories as I can.”
