Sydney Tamiia Poitier is an American television and film actress. She was born on the 15th of November 1973 in Los Angeles, California, United States. The wife of Dorian Heartsong, she is the daughter of Sidney Poitier and Joanna Shimkus. She started her career in the industry in the year 1998, playing the role Sophia Jackson on Park Day. She became well-recognized for her appearances on TV series such as Veronica Mars, Knight Rider, Private Practice, and many others.
Sydney shared in an interview that she doesn’t really pressure herself when it comes to her weight. She eats what she wants but she exercises daily. In an interview, she said, “I try to accept the body I’ve been given and appreciate the fact that I’m healthy rather than thinking about aspects of my appearance that I’d like to change.”
When asked if she considers plastic surgery, she answered, “Plastic surgery isn’t my style at all – all that nipping and tucking has gone way out of hand in the States. Everyone here is taking on a very similar look and I find it really disturbing.”
