Sue Bird, originally Suzanne Brigit Bird, is a professional American-Israeli basketball player who plays for the Seattle Storm and UMMC Ekaterinburg. Born on October 16, 1980 in Syosset, Nassau County, New York to parents Herschel and Nancy Bird, she started to play basketball since she was younger. She was even regarded as the New York State Player of the Year when she was in high school at Syosset High School. She became prominent in the world of basketball when she played and competed for the Jones Cup Team which was held in Taipei. Since then, she became a highly-regarded female basketball star.
As a basketball player, Sue has no problems with regards to keeping her body fit and strong. Every day, she moves her body by running and doing some exercises while preparing to play.
As for her diet, she said, “When I was in college, and even my first few years in the WNBA, I took nutrition for granted. I didn’t pay attention. I ate McDonalds and stuff. But when I went to Russia this past offseason, I made a concerted effort to eat right. I made my own food, not just relying on fast food. Kamila actually helped me with that a lot. So when I came back, I was in the best shape of my life and I really felt the difference. So now I’m a big believer in watching what you eat.”
