Sonny Bill Williams - celebhealthy_comSonny William Williams, better known as Sonny Bill Williams, is a New Zealand rugby player and heavyweight boxer. He was born on August 3, 1985 in Auckland, New Zealand. He has played rugby league and rugby union at the highest levels. Currently, he plays rugby union for the Chiefs in Super Rugby. In 2002, he became the youngest player to ever sign with an NRL club. He was also able to play in the Bulldogs’ junior grades. These days, he continues to be a prominent sports celebrity.

With two sports specialties, Sonny is of course, a very active person both physically and mentally. He always engages himself in challenging trainings. Here’s what he said in an interview: “It’s been very tough, our rugby pre season with the (Waikato) Chiefs has been hard physically but with my fight I have had to work extra hard over the last eight weeks to get ready both physically and mentally.”

He added, “I have had to lose about seven kilos from my upper body; I was too musclebound and stiff from the weights which was no good for my boxing. So in the gym I have focused on my leg strength and worked hard on my upper body speed and endurance with body weight-only exercises like push-ups and chin-ups. I have had to work hard on my cardio too so I have done lots of sparring with a big focus on my defence.”
