Selma Blair, born Selma Blair Beitner, is a renowned actress famous for her roles in television, film, and stage plays. She was born on June 23, 1972 in Southfield, Metropolitan area of Detroit, Michigan. The youngest child of Atty. Molly Ann and Elliot I. Beitner, she grew up under a Jewish influence as she attended at Hillel Day School, a Jewish institution situated in Farmington Hills. In 1990, she became an actress, starring the stage play The Little Theatre of The Green Goose where she portrayed various roles. She further gained attention in 1995 when she played the role Penelope Ghiruto in The Adventures of Pete & Pete.
