Canadian actress and TV personality Sarah Chalke was born on August 27, 1976 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada to parents Andrea and Douglas Chalke. She began acting at the age of eight when she portrayed several roles in a couple of musical theatre productions. She became more prominent when she was seen as a reporter in KidZone, a Canadian children’s show. Later on she was cast for the role Rebecca Conner-Healy in the American sitcom Roseanne. Sarah also became more dominant because of her role as Dr. Elliot Reid in the medical-comedy-drama series Scrubs.
Now, when it comes to keeping her body fit and healthy, she says she’s constantly doing an active lifestyle which includes hiking and sweating out on a treadmill. She shares during her interview with the Fitness Magazine, “I like to hike with my chocolate Labrador, Lola. If I can’t squeeze in a workout any other way, I’ll hop on the treadmill at home. Actually, if I need to study lines or get ready for an audition, I find it easier to learn on the treadmill. There’s something about movement that helps get everything going.”
And what about her diet? Well, the Scrubs actress says she always prefers healthy snacks. “When I travel, I bring healthy snacks: apples, toasted almonds, almond butter, dried fruits, and my favorite teas. And supplements: I take the New Chapter Every Womans One Daily, and I eat flaxseed oil at almost every meal.”
