Sania Mirza - CelebHealthy_comSania Mirza is a professional Indian tennis player. She was born on the 15th of November 1986, in Mumbai, India to parents Imran Mirza and Naseema. At the age of six, she started to play tennis. She then started to play professionally in the year 2003 and was officially trained by her father. When she was playing as a junior player, she was able to win 10 singles and 13 doubles titles. She even won the 2003 Wimbledon Championships Girls’ Doubles alongside her partner Alisa Kleybanova. During the 2003 French Open Girls’ Doubles, she joined and was successfully qualified for the semifinals. Since then, she became a highly-regarded tennis player.

Sania is a certified fitness enthusiast. According to her, “Fitness is defined differently by everyone but for me the most important thing is being healthy. As tennis players, what we do is not the healthiest thing. We almost abuse our bodies. We try to be fit and avoid injuries. Our fitness (as professional athletes) is different.”

Now what’s her say when it comes to diet? “It depends if you are in season or out of season,” said Sania. “When you are playing, you eat a lot of carbs. We load up on carbs because you are playing and you need that energy. When we are training in off season, we try to cut down on the carbs and try to eat more protein.”
