Australian actor Samuel Henry John Worthington, better known as Sam Worthington, was born on August 2, 1976 in Godalming, Surrey, Southeastern England to parents Jeanne J. and Ronald W. Worthington. He used to be a student of John Curtin College of the Arts, a school that teaches more about the art of drama. When he was 19, he auditioned and became a scholar for National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), an Australian school for film, television, and theater arts. In 2004, he landed his first and major role on screen when he was cast for Somersault that eventually gave him the opportunity to have another acting role again in 2006 for the film Macbeth. He had his breakthrough in 2009 when he played the lead role Jake Sully / Tom Sully alongside film actress Zoe Saldana. Nowadays, the actor is busy filming two upcoming movies for this year and another film for 2015.
Now how does he stay fit, healthy and absolutely in great physique? According to the actor, he follows an exercise routine by which he performs squats, crunches, triceps dips, hanging knee raises, and a lot more workout types. He usually does these for at least 5 to 6 hours a day.
When it comes to his eating preferences, the actor is not so keen about it. In fact, he can even eat what he wants. But even though, Sam says he’s always making sure he can eat foods rich with protein and carbs to fuel his body with energy and stamina for his intensive workout sessions.
