Rory McIlroyRory McIlroy is a Northern Irish professional golfer. He was born on May 4, 1989 in Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland. He is a member of both the European and PGA Tours. At 22, he already earned success in golf when he participated the the U.S. Open and won his first major in the year 2011. The following year, he again experienced success when he joined  the 2012 PGA Championship. In 2007, he topped the World Amateur Golf Ranking and since then, he became a remarkable international golf player.

Rory’s workouts include plenty of single-leg work such as dumbbell presses and split squats. His exercises also focus on his lower body which is considered as the true source of energy. According to him in an interview, “The lower-body work stabilized all the power that I had generated on the way down. I could generate the power, but I needed the stability to hold onto it.”

When it comes to his diet, he always makes it a point to eat healthy and nutritious foods. He particularly consumes chicken and broccoli.

And hey, he has one particular advice for everyone. “You have way more confidence,” he told Men’s Health. “You don’t have as many little insecurities; you just feel better about yourself. Going to the gym is great for your body, but it’s also great for your mind.”
