Robin Ophelia Quivers is an American radio personality, actress, and author. She was born on August 8, 1952 in Pikesville, Maryland to parents Louise Quivers and Charles Quivers. A product of University of Maryland, she majored nursing and was able to land a job at Maryland Shock Trauma facility of the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services System after she became professional.
It was in 1979 when she studied at Broadcasting Institute of Maryland after which she worked at the at WIOO in Carlisle, Pennsylvania in a radio industry. In March 1981, she was able to work with radio personality Howard Stern and became the co-host of the popular radio show The Howard Stern Show.
When Robin was diagnosed with cancer, she made serious changes in her lifestyle, especially her diet. She is known to be practicing a plant-based diet or vegetarian diet ever since. According to her, “My plant-based diet was helping my body heal. I couldn’t believe the difference I saw. I’d never had such a dramatic shift in my health– not when I was taking medication, not when I was wearing a neck brace, and certainly not when I was eating whatever I wanted. I no longer had to rearrange my entire life around being sick.”
Practicing a plant-based diet is indeed one great tool in fighting cancer. And it worked well with Robin.
