Rick Springfield - CelebHealthy_comRick Springfield is an Australian musician, singer-songwriter, actor and author. He was born Richard Lewis Springthorpe on August 23, 1949 in South Wentworthville, Australia. The son of Liam Springthorpe and Joshua Springthorpe, he was greatly recognized for being the member of the pop rock group “Zoot” from 1969 to 1971. In 1972, he pursued a solo career and was able to publish his hit single “Speak to the Sky” which was able to reach the top 10 in Australia’s music chart.

In one of his interviews, Rick shared his typical workout routine and said, “I get most of my aerobic workout on stage running around and singing for people, but I lift weights and use an abdominal roller that never leaves my side.”

As for his diet, he is noted to be practicing a blood-type diet. “Since I turned 25, I have been aware of only putting the right things in my body— through my mouth that is,” he explained. “I am now on a blood-type food plan that restricts a lot of the crap that most of us don’t think is crap and I am waiting to see if it does anything wonderful. The best thing I have done for my body is to get off dairy. I went vegan for a few months but lost so much weight people started asking me if I was okay. I eat certain fish, rice milk, sprouted wheat only, no corn or soy, and very little meat, though I eat it when my body craves it. Oh, and red wine!”
