According to Rachel, the secret towards attaining a great body like hers is simple: discipline. She said in an interview, “I have always considered myself a very positive and “glass half full” kind of girl. Being disciplined in anything to me is more of a mental challenge. All too often we tend to mentally sell ourselves short of what we are capable of before we have a chance to experience it. My Grandfather used to always say that ‘you can’t tell if you like something unless you’ve tried it’. That said I always tried to look at what I have achieved and how far I came, whether or not it was the increase on a lift or being able to say no to the temptations when I was the only one to hold myself accountable.”

She added, “Looking at what you’ve overcome instead of the shortcomings helped me. I also have one of the best gym partners and having him there with me by my side helped push and motivate me every step of the way, even when we couldn’t make workouts together. Together we push past our hard days and kept each other on point throughout the whole process.”
