Nadezhda Viktorovna Petrova is a Russian professional tennis player. She was born on June 8, 1982 in Moscow, Russia. Throughout her career, she was able to earn 37 WTA Titles, 13 in singles, and 24 in doubles. The daughter of Viktor and Nadezhda Ilyina, she grew up with parents that are both athletic.
Her father was in fact a leading hammer thrower while her mom won a bronze medal at the 1976 Montreal Olympics in the 400 meter relay. It was in the year 1998 when she joined the French Open and eventually took home the win, defeating Jelena Dokić during the finals. Since then, she was constantly seen in different tennis tournaments.
Nadia is very much into fitness, which explains her utmost love for sports. She always sees to it that her body is in full condition. She is noted to be working out with a fitness guru, particularly from Slovakia and she usually works out with the trainer for a month and evaluate how the training working for her. Her goal is to become fitter and leaner. That’s why she also balances it out by practicing a healthy diet.
