Moon Bloodgood, born Korinna Moon Bloodgood on September 20, 1975 in Alliance, Nebraska, is an American actress and model. She is the daughter of Sang Cha, a Korean, and Shell Bloodgood who is an American with a Dutch and Irish ancestry. When she was 17, she worked as a Laker Girl, particularly doing cheerleading for the NBA team Los Angles Lakers. It was in 2002 when she first appeared on television and was cast on Just Shoot Me! by which she played the role Penny in an episode. Soon after, she began doing films such as Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!, Moonlight Serenade, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, The Sessions, and many other films. In 2008, her career blossomed when she was cast as Rita Shelten on Day Break. Presently, she appears on the TV series Falling Skies, acting as Anne Glass.
According to the actress, she mostly focuses on weight training when it comes to her fitness routine. “I concentrated on weight training,” she said in an interview. “For about an hour a session, I’d work out on machines and with free-weights. My trainer had me lifting heavier weights– for example, 15 to 20 pounds for my triceps– because he wanted to build me up a bit. I never counted reps, just pushed myself as far as I could possibly go. Each day, we’d focus on a different body part. I noticed a real change, too—my shoulders got a little broader, and I got more definition in my arms.”
Although she doesn’t believe in strict diets, Moon always makes sure that even if she eats a lot, she keeps up a balanced diet. “Everybody who knows me knows I eat a lot. I love food. I mean, I’m friends with all the craft-service people on set! I can’t live my life on a strict no-carb diet or eat a salad as a meal– it’s too difficult. For me, life is all about balance,” she explained.
