Missy Peregrym, originally Melissa Peregrym, is a Canadian actress and former fashion model born on June 16, 1982 in Montreal, Quebec. She is the daughter of a minister named Rev. Darrell Peregrym and Vanessa Peregrym. After she appeared in an episode of the TV series Dark Angel, Missy was constantly given acting projects which soon boosted her career. She particularly played parts on films Call Me: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss and Catwoman. She experienced her breakthrough when she was cast as Jackie Bradford on the TV series Life As We Know It from 2004 to 2005. She also became part of Reaper from 2007 to 2009. Presently, she appears as Andy McNally on the TV program Rookie Blue.

Missy loves sports particularly basketball. According to her, it’s her best form of exercise. “Three to four times a week, I get up at 7:30 A.M. while the courts are empty at Venice Beach and play full court one-on-one,” said Missy. “Three games each up to eleven points ends up being 45 minutes to an hour of straight play. I’m incredibly competitive, so it’s good to get this out of the way early in the morning so I can be patient with other things in my life.”

For her diet, she said she’s a healthy eater and she’s not really into strict diet. “I try to eat food without added hormones and pesticides but I’m not so strict that I won’t have a Big Mac once in a while,” she stated.
