Mel B, originally Melanie Janine Brown, was born on May 29, 1975 in Harehills, Leeds, England to parents Andrea and Martin. Famously known as an English recording artist, songwriter, actress, model, talent competition judge, dancer, TV presenter, and writer, Mel was also recognized as once a member of the famous British girl group Spice Girls which gave her a unique name and identity of being the “Scary Spice”. In 1998, she began solo recording and eventually published her first album “I Want You” while teaming up with Missy Elliott. The album was noted to reach No. 1 on the U.K. charts, making herself dominant and popular in the music industry.
