Megan Lynn Young is a Filipina actress, model, VJ, host, and beauty queen widely known as the Miss World 2013. She was born on February 27, 1990 in Alexandria, Virginia, USA. She is known to be half-Filipino and half-American. Prior to becoming a Miss World, she first started as an actress. In 2005, she became one of the contestants of the reality talent show StarStruck : Season 2 where she showcased her talent in acting as well as in dancing. After reaching the top six, she was immediately given an acting project which was to appear in the youth-oriented TV series Love To Love (Season 7): Love Ko Urok. She also appeared in the film Say That You Love Me where she played the role Anna. Other than appearing on TV series and films, she also worked as a VJ in the 24-hour music-entertainment TV network Channel V Philippines. When she joined the Miss World Philippines in 2013, she eventually won and represented the Philippines in the Miss World 2013 which was held in Bali, Indonesia. The said competition made her become remarkable especially in the Philippines since she was the first-ever Filipina to conquer the Miss World crown.
So what’s the secret to her beauty-queen body? According to Megan, “I wanted to look good, but I also wanted to be healthy at the same time. What I did was, I got a trainer, a super good trainer and he really helped me because I worked out everyday.”
She also eats healthily. She said it’s always good to avoid unhealthy foods and practice portion control diet in order to come up with a fit and fab body.
