Matt Moran - CelebHealthy_comMatthew Moran, better known as Matt Moran, was born on May 15, 1969 in Tamworth, Australia. He is an Australian chef also known for being a guest on various TV cooking shows. Raised on a dairy farm at Badgerys Creek west of Sydney, he stopped studying at the age of 15 so he could pursue a career as a chef. It was in 1991 when he launched his first restaurant – The Paddington Inn Bistro, together with his business partner Peter Sullivan.

As a chef, Matt is very conscious when it comes to his diet. Here’s what he said in one of his interviews: “I’m pretty healthy in general. At the moment I’m on a health kick so I’m not eating lots of carbs. I’m eating lots of protein, lots of stir fries. What I tend to do is if I have a roast on a Sunday, like a beef roast I always buy more than I need then use the off cuts as a stir fry. So it might be a slab of meat and it might be nice and pink on the inside and I just quickly do a stir fry.”

He added, “I’m also having lots of Bircher muesli. We have a Bircher muesli day at ARIA (Matt’s Sydney restaurant) every Monday morning. I just put sultanas, soak it in orange juice, add a bit of apple with lots of yoghurt on top. I’ve always been a big believer of everything in moderation. You know what’s good for you and you know what’s bad for you. If you want to throw a bit of butter in there for flavour, do it in moderation, don’t go nuts!”
