Matt Duchene - celebhealthy_comMatthew Duchene is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre born on January 16, 1991 in Dysart et al, Ontario, Canada to parents Vince Duchene and Chris Duchene. He currently plays for the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League. During the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, he was selected third overall by Colorado. Before he became a prominent ice hockey player, he first played minor hockey for the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA)’s Central Ontario Wolves.

Matt regularly works out at the gym. In fact, he spends time really doing those heavy and gruelling workouts. For his diet, he doesn’t eat foods that are rich in gluten. “Getting leaner was a step I needed to take, but I couldn’t figure out why I was having a hard time doing it,” he said in an interview. “And what we figured out was my body has a really high intolerance to wheat and gluten.”

He added, “You learn in school from the food guys that you’re supposed to have a certain serving every day of wheat and grains, and it’s not true. You shouldn’t eat what’s not great for you.”
