Mary Catherine McCormack is an American actress born on February 8, 1969 in Plainfield, New Jersey to parents Norah and William McCormack. A graduate of Wardlaw-Hartridge School, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in comparative arts. She started acting when she was 12 years old, particularly appearing in the Christmas opera Amahl and the Night Visitors. To better enhance her acting skills, she attended acting program in William Esper Studio.
It was in the year 1994 when she made her acting debut and was cast in an episode of Law & Order. The same year, she was hired to play as Myrna Foy in the American Christmas fantasy film Miracle on 34th Street. She had series of acting opportunities after her successful first appearances. In 1995, she was cast in Murder One and was also highlighted in The West Wing from 2004 to 2006. She further gained dominance in show business when she appeared as Mary Shannon in In Plain Sight.
To keep her body in good condition, Mary mainly depends on her healthy eating habits. She said during her interview with the Celebrity Diet Doctor, “Low-carb, sugar-free diet stuff from when no one knew I was pregnant– that I don’t eat because it’s not natural enough.”
