Born on June 17, 1985 in Paramytha, Cyprus, Marcos Baghdatis is a Cypriot professional tennis player. He played during the Australian Open in the year 2006. The same year, he also joined Wimbledon Championships. In 2007, he became the eleventh seed at the Australian Open. He was also able to beat Ivan Ljubičić in the final 7–6, 4–6, 6–4 in a competition which was held in Zagreb. He continues to be a prominent tennis star these days.
To come up with a great and fit physique, Marcos trains regularly and does gruelling workouts. According to his trainer Andreas Nicolaou in an interview, his body weight really improved after a series of workouts. “He was 86 kg, 14.8 percent body fat,” Andreas said. “Now he’s 82.3 kg and 10 percent body fat, which is a really good number. The main thing is to be stable and stay on that number of 10 percent body fat. The development plan is to decrease the fat and increase the muscle mass, so Marcos will be more powerful and more agile and quicker.”
Apart from that, he also does swimming, mountain biking, jogging, playing soccer, and weight training. As for his diet, he sticks to healthy and balanced diet. He also avoids fried and fatty foods.
