Magdalene M. Szubanski, better known as Magda Szubanski, is an Australian actress, comedian, author, TV presenter, author, and radio host. She was born in Liverpool, Lancashire, England on April 12, 1961. Her parents are Margaret and Zbigniew Szubanski. She began her career when she was still studying in college at a university. She later on became a sketch comedian, working both as a performer and a writer. In 1986, she came into the television and was seen on the TV program The D-Generation until 1987. In 1989, she again appeared on screen, particularly on the TV program Fast Forward. Her other television works were on Bligh, A Royal Commission into the Australian Economy, The Making of Nothing, Big Girl’s Blouse, Something Stupid, and a lot more. This year, she appears on Legit as Anne Jefferies.
As we all know, Magda has spent years of carrying an abnormally heavy weight. But years ago, she followed a Jenny Craig diet and was able to bear the sacrifices. The said diet amazingly helped her shed off extra pounds!
“I’ve lost 25 per cent of my body weight and am finally making peace with food, instead of being tormented by it,” Magda said in an interview. “I feel like a woman on death row who has been given a second chance at life. I can now say ‘Yes!’ to all the great things life has to offer.”
She added, “I eat breakfast and regular meals every single day. I’m learning and consolidating better ways of eating and living. I always order skinny lattes and have discovered how delicious couscous tastes. I am learning that I am safe without food, and Jenny Craig is helping me to deal with life without having to numb myself with food.”
Diet is really a helpful means to lose weight. And well, Magda proves that she’s an ultimate fitness inspiration for us!
