Lydia Ko - celebhealthy_comLydia Ko is a Korean-born New Zealand professional golfer. She was born on the 24th of April 1997 in Seoul, South Korea. The daughter of Hyeon Bong-sook and Ko Gil-hong, she is known for being the number 1 ranked woman professional golfer on 2 February 2015 at 17 years 9 months 8 days of age. In the year 2016 during the Rio Olympics, she won the silver medal for women’s golf.

Lydia is in tip-top shape thanks to her workout routine. According to her in one of her interviews, “When I do work out, cardio is my go-to thing. Running helps me improve my stamina and allows me to stay more energized for longer periods of time. When I’m in Orlando, I work out most of the days I’m there so I can get a little bit more fit. It’s hard to do a lot of strength stuff during the season, so I try to just maintain when I’m on the road. I see the osteopaths during tournament weeks, and they keep me loose. I think it’s a good kind of teamwork, a good balance to being strong.”

She’s also a healthy diet fan. “I eat pretty healthy, mostly by default,” she explained. “When I’m home, I have Korean food most of the time and my mom hardly ever uses much grease or oil. Korean food has a lot of vegetable side dishes, and I don’t really like sweet stuff (even for chocolate, I prefer dark chocolate). So even though I’m not really focusing on eating nutritionally sound food, it just sort of comes with it.”
