Louise Victoria Hazel is an English athlete. She was born on October 6, 1985 in Southwark, London. She started to develop an interest in athletics at the age of 10 when she was greatly encouraged by her father. She was studying college at the University of Birmingham when her athletic skills were even more defined because of her participation at the Birchfield Harriers Athletics Club. She officially started her Commonwealth games in the year 2010. That year, she gained attention when she became the overall 1st Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist. Since then, she constantly performed well in her chosen sport.
So what’s her exercise regime? According to Louise in an interview, “In the morning I would do long jump for example, and in the afternoon I would run or do weights. At the gym I work on strength and power. I do weightlifting and conditioning. I’m a lightweight so I work also on my speed and my jumping abilities. Heptathlon is a multi-skilled sport so I have to do all-round conditioning.”
Now what about her diet? “My philosophy is to do everything in moderation,” she said. “I eat a lot of fruit and vegetables, and quite a high protein diet too. I do not eat a lot of bread and cheese because they are too heavy.”
She added that she’s into protein shakes. “Recovery protein shakes after heavy sessions. They help me to be in tip-top shape,” she testified.
