Leila Lopes, born Leila Luliana da Costa Vieira Lopes, is an Angolan beauty queen and title holder widely known for being the Miss Universe 2012. She was born on 26th of February, 1986 in Benguela City, Benguela Province, Angola. Prior to joining beauty pageants, she studied at the University Campus Suffolk in Ipswich, England, concentrating more on business management. While studying, she joined and won the 2010 Miss Angola UK, making her become noticeable in the Angolan community. It was also in the year 2010 when she joined the Miss Angola beauty pageant, eventually won the crown, and represented her country in the Miss Universe 2011 which was held at the Credicard Hall in São Paulo, Brazil. The said competition earned her popularity as she was the first Angolan to ever get the crown.
So what’s the secret to her bangin’ body? Well, apart from her good genes, she’s also taking an effort to attain such incredibly fit and toned figure. “I get a gym membership and a personal trainer. I workout two times a week,” she shared.
Another thing that she usually makes sure of is eating healthily. “I watch my meals,” she said. “When I have a competition or a photo shoot I just eat less. I don’t diet or stop eating because I love eating and I eat everything.”
