American pop singer, actor, dancer, author, and producer James Lance Bass was born on May 4, 1979 in Laurel, Mississippi to parents Diane and James Irvin Bass, Jr. He started singing when he was still 10 years old, participating at the Baptist church choir. He was then encouraged by his close friend Darren Dale to audition for local performance groups. It was in the year 1995 when Justin Timberlake called him and asked him if he’s interested to be a part of the pop band N’Sync after the group’s member Jason Galasso quit. He auditioned for the group and immediately quit studying after he was accepted. It was in the year 2000 when he formed a music management company called Free Lance Entertainment. Soon after, he started appearing on television and delved into the world of acting. He particularly had an appearance in the TV series drama series 7th Heaven where he played the role Rick Palmer. His recent screen appearance was in the TV series Review.
Lance is a workout enthusiast. He regularly goes to the gym because he continues to aim for a fitter, healthier body. “I want to get cut up and trimmed down for TV,” Lance expressed in one of his interviews. “And to make exercise feel like a part of my life, not a chore.” According to him, he usually performs strength training and cardio exercises.
For his diet, he said he always tries to eat lots of veggies. “I’m not vegan. I’m getting close to it though. I order from a lot of vegan places where I eat out,” he shared.
