Born on December 26, 1986 in London, England, Christopher Catesby “Kit” Harington is an English actor who is known for his role in the award-winning series, “Game of Thrones” as Jon Snow. At age eleven, he moved from his birthplace to Worcester, Worcestershire, England until he was eighteen years old, and then moved back to London.  He studied Drama and Theatre Studies between 2003 and 2005, in Worcester Sixth Form College.  In 2008, he graduated from the Central School of Speech and Drama.  He appeared in 2012 “Silent Hill:  Revelation 3D” as Vincent and 2014 “Pompeii” as Milo.  He is also the voice of Eret in the upcoming “How To Train Your Dragon 2” (2014) and portrays the character of Billy Bradley in the awaited 2015 movie “Seventh Son”.  He was nominated for Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor on Television, Scream Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in 2011 for his remarkable performances in the series “Game of Thrones”.

Kit did a lot of preparation for his role in “Pompeii” and that includes four-hour workouts with two hours of fighting training with weapons, an hour of weight lifting, as well as an hour of cardio.  He said in one of his interviews, “hit the gym three times a day — an hour before set, lunchtime, get back to the gym for an hour, go back to set, at the end of day about 6, I do another training session from 6 ’til 7, go home, come back, start the whole thing at 5 in the morning, six days a week for four months.” He also added that when he’s not on set, he still goes to his training room to learn the next fight.

In addition to that, he is also following a strict diet, particularly a 1,800-calorie diet.
