Kevin Durant-Celebhealthy_comKevin Wayne Durant was on born September 29, 1988 in Washington, D.C.  He is an American professional basketball player with the Oklahoma City Thunder of the National Basketball Association (NBA).  He was described as “Extremely versatile and explosive offensive player who can score from virtually any spot on the floor. Length, elite athleticism and natural instincts also allow him to be a dominant rebounder and shot-blocker” in the NBA website.  Aside from basketball, he also owned a restaurant in Bricktown neighborhood of Oklahoma City, particularly KD’s Southern Cuisine.  He is a generous man, who participated in philanthropic causes and pledged a huge amount to the American Red Cross for the victims of Moore tornado in the year 2013; whose acts inspired Thunder and Nike to do the same.  In 2012, he appeared in the children’s film “Thunderstruck”.

Aside from basketball, Kevin keeps his body fit and healthy by doing regular dumbbell push-up-to-row and bench press exercises.  His exercises where not only intended to build strength but also target core stabilization and shoulder extension.

Mixing fruits and vegetables is considered as his past time.  “I’m trying to stay away from the red meats and the fast food as much as I can, even though it’s tempting,” he said.  He employed his own chef to make sure that he is not eating foods high in fats and helped him keep up a balanced diet.
