Kevin Bacon, originally Kevin Norwood Bacon, is an American actor and musician. He was born on July 8, 1958 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. At 17, he pursued stage acting in New York and was able to land certain roles at the Circle in the Square Theater School. He was first seen on screen in the year 1978 when he was cast as Chip Diller in the American comedy film National Lampoon’s Animal House. In 1979, he starred for another roles in films Starting Over and The Gift. It was in the year 2009 when he portrayed Lt. Col. Michael Strobl in the historical drama film Taking Chance and bagged the awards Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Miniseries or Television Film and Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie. Presently, he stars in the TV drama series The Following as Ryan Hardy.
At 55, Kevin stays fit by doing his responsibilities in keeping his body active. Unlike most of the male celebrities, he is not a gym type of person. Instead, he just resorts to jogging and hiking. According to the actor, it’s the best fitness regimen for him. It improves his breathing as well as his stamina.
When it comes to diet, he stays vegetarian and does not indulge in foods with bad cholesterol and fatty contents.
