Kerri Allyson Strug is a retired American gymnast. She was born on November 19, 1977 in Tucson, Arizona, United States. A product of Stanford University, she also attended school at the University of California, Los Angeles. She started training gymnastics at the early age of three. In the year 1996, she joined the Olympics as a member of the U.S. women’s team. Soon after, she participated in the Ice Capades and Disney’s World On Ice. Since then, she became a remarkable athlete.
Running on a treadmill is Kerri’s ultimate workout secret. She said in an interview, “I just bought a condominium and there are two treadmills. I normally get up at 5:40. I’m on the treadmill by 10 of six.”
She added that she prefers treadmill over gym because it’s the one the works best for her. “That’s how I like it,” she said. “I’ve joined gyms and it just never works because it’s so much easier to do it at my own home. I live on the 16th floor; the treadmill is on the 21st. I take the stairs most of the time. Then just get on.” According to her, she runs at least five to six times per week. Whoa! She’s a fitness idol!
