She was born on July 16, 1983 in Hong Kong. She started to appear on big screen in 2003 when she was cast on the flick Boom playing the role Rina Kaif. Soon after, she was hired to play significant parts on films including MalliswariSarkarMaine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?Allari PiduguHum Ko Deewana Kar GayeBalram vs. Taradas, and a lot more. In 2009, she was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her impressive performance on the film New York. The same nomination came to her in 2001 when she played the role Dimple Dixit on Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Presently, she is filming three upcoming flicks namely Jagga JasoosPhantom, and Fitoor.

Katrina stays in great shape by working out with her fitness coach Yasmin  Karachiwala. According to her trainer, Katrina regularly does exercises that focus on her abs and core. Swimming and jogging are also part of her exercise regimen.

When it comes to diet, Katrina said, “I start my day with four glasses of water, avoid foods with starch and focus on having fresh boiled vegetables and eat fresh fruits every two hours”.
