Kathleen Erin Walsh, famously known as Kate Walsh, is an American actress that appears on television and films. She was born on October 13, 1967 in San Jose, California, USA to Angela C. and Joseph P. Walsh. Growing up, she was already seen as a girl who had a penchant for acting as she was involved in her school’s regional theater plays. She also got an experience working at Burger King and Dairy Queen. In 1980s she started modeling in Japan where she also worked as an English tutor. Soon after, she moved to Chicago and worked with the Piven Theatre Workshop. Her first screen appearance happened in the year 1996 when she was starred in the American crime drama film Normal Life. Later on, she was highlighted in TV series Homicide: Life on the Street and Swift Justice. From 2005 to 2012, she played the main role Dr. Addison Montgomery in the American medical drama TV series Grey’s Anatomy. And successfully making a name for herself, she was awarded with Screen Actors Guild Awards Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for her role in Grey’s Anatomy.
A woman with naturally sexy and slim figure, Kate is very conscious when it comes to her lifestyle. To stay in shape, she constantly works out by doing Pilates, yoga, and cardio exercises. And she likes to walk outside together with her dogs. “For exercise I basically walk my dogs slightly up hill. I don’t like steep hills. I’m lazy by nature,” Kate shares.
When it comes to diet, she says portion control works best on her. “I’m a girl who enjoys eating,” she says. “But I do believe in moderation and portion control. It’s all anybody needs! I love chocolate, and just a little bit goes a long way.”
