Catherine Ceberano, better known as Kate Ceberano, is an Australian singer. She was born on November 17, 1966 in Melbourne, Australia. The daughter of Tino Ceberano and Cherie Ceberano, she became successful in the soul, jazz, and pop genres, as well as in her brief forays into musicals— with Jesus Christ Superstar– and film. She first came to prominence singing back-up vocals with Melbourne, Australia band The Models. Since then, her career became eventually successful.
Now what is Kate’s exercise routine? Here’s what she said in an interview: “I travel a lot and don’t get as much exercise as I’d like, but I love anything that involves music and movement, like salsa or Zumba classes. In the 80s, I used to go hard on my body with punches and purely physical activities, but now I believe exercise has to be aesthetic, because if you move your body in a beautiful and artistic way, it will produce an aesthetically pleasing body.”
For her diet, she explained, “In my 40s, I find myself craving good food. I throw spinach in a cup of miso, add brown rice and my favourite snack is ready. I avoid foods that make me tired, such as sugar and white rice. My only poison is coffee– I drink three a day. I never do canapes. They have no purpose, nutritional or otherwise, other than to leave you stranded in the middle of the floor with mess all over your face, no napkin, quite possibly stuff in your teeth and sauce dripping down your shirt. I don’t eat entrees because I never feel hungry for my main meal if I do. I often only eat half the main to save room for dessert. My grandma always used to say: “A little of what you fancy does you good”.
