Born on March 28, 1981 in New York City, American actress Julia O’Hara Stiles is the daughter of Judith Newcomb Stiles and John O’Hara. Known to have of English, Irish, and German ancestry, it’s no wonder why Julia appears to be simply beautiful. At the age of eleven, she already developed a passion for acting that’s why she went to perform with New York’s La MaMa Theatre Company. She first had her taste for acting on screen when she was cast in the TV series Ghostwriter. In 1996, she was highlighted on big screen for the first time for a minor role in I Love You, I Love You Not. The following year, she played the role Bridget O’Meara in the film The Devil’s Own and also took a part in the TV film Before Women Had Wings. As the years went by, she had series of films and TV appearances which made her become a remarkable actress. Some of her high-grossing films are Save the Last Dance, Mona Lisa Smile, The Prince and Me, The Bourne Supremacy, The Omen, and Silver Linings Playbook.
Julia is known to be a physically active woman. She stays fit by doing various workouts. According to the actress, “I play soccer, which is great exercise and a lot of fun. When I’m not practicing, I’ll run. I also love to dance and I got to do a lot of that for Save the Last Dance. I trained in hip-hop and ballet four hours a day for three months. But I must have had an overload because ever since , I’ve been feeling more “yang” about exercise. I’m less into yoga and dance and more into aggressive sports.”
She was known as a vegan, but lately she changed her diet practices and now incorporating meat on her menu. However, she’s still very keen about meat. “I don’t eat meat that doesn’t come from a good source. I like to know what the animal was eating before I eat it,” she said.
