He decided to pursue acting in the year 2002 when he and his mother met Bob Luke, an acting coach. Luke encouraged him to go to Los Angeles to find his Hollywood dream. Arriving in LA, he began to audition for several TV pilots. He successfully got his first role in House Blend soon after. His biggest blockbuster role happened when he was chosen to play as Peeta Mellark on the film series adaptation The Hunger Games in 2012.

As of these days, he’s currently preparing for the filming of the third and final sequel of the movie. This means he’s already doing intense ‘hunger games’ diet and workout regimen again—just like what he did before he was filming the second Hunger Games flick. According to the actor, he needs to put on a lot of weight, that’s why he’s constantly eating chicken, eggs and protein. He also shares about his enduring workout regimen with his trainer Logan Hood. He says the workout is a bit tough it left him sore. But then, it’s totally worth it, right? Look at him now and his improvements. His hard work really pays off.
