John Francis Bongiovi, Jr., best known by his stage name Jon Bon Jovi, is an American singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, actor, and philantropist. He was born on March 2, 1962 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, USA to parents Carol Sharkey and John Francis Bongiovi, Sr. Recognized as the founder and frontman of the rock band Bon Jovi, he has published two solo albums and 11 studio albums with his band throughout his career–a huge success that made him an awardee of Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2009. Before earning his elusive success, Jon Bon Jovi used to work as a sweeper at the recording studio of his cousin Tony Bongiovi. Nowadays, he’s highly regarded as a legendary, sensational artist in the history.
Now when it comes to keeping his body fit and in good condition, the Bed of Roses hitmaker says he particularly indulges to yoga and plays football. Here’s what he said during his interview in the Examiner: “I was doing Workout 101 for years: treadmill, elliptical, weights. Now I’m going to do yoga. I went for my first time, and I enjoyed it. I’m a 21st-century man.”
The singer has made a really good move in trying out this type of workout because yoga is indeed a very effective means of keeping the body healthy and in good shape. Yoga is found to reduce stress and boost well-being. It even improves brain function and lower risks of heart diseases. Way to go, Bon!
