Jessica Adele Hardy was born on March 12, 1987 in Orange, California to parents George Hardy and Denise Robinson. She is an American international swimmer who mostly joins freestyle and breakstroke swimming competitions. With her mother who was a swimmer during her earlier days, it is probably one of the reasons why Jessica had a calling for the said sport. While joining different competitions, she was able to bring home a total of 28 medals in major international competition. These medals consist of 14 gold, 9 silver, and 5 bronze– all from the Olympics, World, and Pan Pacific competitions. Some of the competitions that she has joined were the 2005 World Aquatics Championships, 2006 Short Course World Championships, 2007 World Aquatics Championships, and 2008 Short Course World Championships.
As a swimmer, it is no wonder why Jessica develops a lean and strong physique. During her interview with Women’s Health Mag, she shared some of her swimming tips. “Swimming is a finesse sport. You need to be able to connect with the water, find the fluidity– that’s how you move forward. You don’t just muscle your way through the water. For swimming you need to be long, lean, and flexible, not just strong.”
Other than swimming, she also indulges herself in various form of workouts. “For four hours a day I’m doing Yoga, Pilates, weight lifting, running, spinning– everything you can imagine,” she explained.
Wow, just wow! She’s really a fitness inspiration that we all should imitate.
