Jenna Ushkowitz - CelebHealthy_comAmerican actress, singer, and writer Jenna Noelle Ushkowitz was born on April 28, 1986 in Seoul, South Korea. A graduate of Marymount Manhattan in 2007, she holds a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts concentrating in Performance and a minor in Musical Theater. Her career in show business started when she was three years old. At a tender age, she appeared in the famous children’s TV series Sesame Street as well as other youth-oriented TV programs. She had her first taste in Broadway musical in the year 1996 when she took part in The King and I. She was able to land guesting roles in TV series and eventually experienced her career breakthrough when she was cast as Tina Cohen-Chang in the popular musical comedy TV series Glee after auditioning with a song “I Kissed A Girl” by Katy Perry. The said program allowed her to shine as she was able to bring up her incredible talent in singing and performing. Recently, she was seen in an episode of the cooking reality show Master Chef.

The Glee star continues to pursue her dream body. To be able to do that, she regularly exercises, and she does it almost everyday. How does she stay motivated, anyway? “Take it day by day,” she advised. “Before you know it, you’ll be six months in and you’ll feel so accomplished. I see results and just feel better overall after just a few days and I’m sure you will too. That always keeps me motivated!”

With regards to diet, here’s a bunch of tips from the singer: “If there’s something in the kitchen I like, it must be eaten. I try not to leave any snacks I wouldn’t want to eat on a daily basis in the cupboard. If that doesn’t work, chew gum or pour yourself a glass of water. I always leave a box of unsalted almonds in my house. A handful of those are a good snack that should keep you satisfied.”

She added, “Healthy foods are great, but it’s important to keep your body active. Your muscles only get stronger and build more endurance for everyday things if you’re moving and get the blood pumping. Exercising stimulates certain brain chemicals and can put you in a better mood!”
