January Jones is an American actress and model who is known for her for her charismatic appeal, outstanding physique and breakthrough performances. She was born in Brookings, South Dakota, U.S. on January 5, 1978 to Karen, a sporting goods store manager and Marvin Jones a gym teacher, fitness director and coach. Before attaining success in the field of acting, Jones first entered the entertainment industry as a model.
Many people consider her role as Emma Frost in the movie X-Men: First Class as one of the most remarkable and challenging of all her performances because she had to tone down her body just like what the character is asking for which is a mutant telepath whose wardrobe was consisted of a super fitted white clothe.
To get a better sense of her character as a mutant, she quickly went on juice and did different forms of weight training exercises which allowed her to shed some pounds and at the same time tone her body just like the character found in comics. According to the actress, she quit consuming fries and shake and stopped driving through her favorite places in consideration of her diet plan. What she did was to focus on juicing so she could achieve the unrealistic body that the character wants from her.
