Jane Leeves, born on April 18, 1961 in Ilford, Essex, England, is an English actress that appears on films, television, and stage plays. She is also known as a singer, dancer, and comedy icon. Prior to fame, she used to be a ballet dancer who trained at Bush Davies School of Dance. She later on worked as a model. In 1983, she started to appear on screen when she was cast for a minor role in Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life. The same year, she also had a minor role in The Hunger which was directed by Tony Scott. It was in the year 1983 when she was cast as Hill’s Angel in the TV series The Benny Hill Show. She was also highlighted in Throb in the year 1986 and eventually landed the role Audrey Cohen in the situation comedy Murphy Brown. Her other appearances were in TV series Frasier, Caroline in the City, and The Penguins of Madagascar. Presently she appears as Joy Scroggs in the American sitcom Hot in Cleveland.
Jane loves to work out through dancing. But other than that, she’s also obsessed with Pilates and cardio exercises. “I was a dancer, and I started very young,” she shared. “I don’t do anything on a daily basis, but I try to do a little cardiovascular work every now and again. And I love Pilates because that’s based on a dance framework.” In addition, she prefers to climb stairs rather that resorting to an elevator.
Because doing workout is not enough to keep her fit, Jane always watches her diet by practicing portion control and consuming well-balanced and healthy foods.
