James Tobin - celebhealthy_comJames Tobin is an Australian television presenter. He was born on April 1, 1980 in Australia. Throughout his career, he is most recognized for being part of Nickelodeon Australia’s Saturday Nick Television. Other than that, he also worked in music and radio at 2Day FM, Mix 106.5, 2WS, Captain Cooke Productions, and MTV and has appeared in Seven’s The Big Arvo as a co-host.

Do you ever wonder how James continue to become sexier each day? It’s because he has always been active. “I was always an active kid– from tearing around on my BMX through to playing rugby union and cricket in high school,” he told GQ. “My first triathlon was Noosa in 2001. I’ve since done 10 more and am about to do my first half ironman at Challenge Melbourne in February. My training for this involves: Once weekly Turbo Studio [stationary bike] sessions for between 60-90 minutes. I’m addicted to my bike so am also riding three to four times a week, between 30-50km a go. And on Sunday, I’ll do a big 60-130km ride. Running three times a week, so 30km in total. Three swim sessions a week: 2km each. I try and break it up with freestyle sprints of 100m but I’m a lazy swimmer – I really need to join a squad. On the road for work, I pack runners, shorts and goggles. Generally after a flight, I go for a 30-minute jog or I’ll head to a nearby park and punch out a series of 400m sprints.”

Now what’s his diet like? “I’ll start my day with a bowl of homemade bircher. At lunch, I try to have some protein – chicken or fish – with vegies. If I’m on the go, I’ll grab a hearty salad or some sashimi. Dinner is the same basic theory as lunch. I’m good at keeping things healthy but I do love pizza and anything with potato– hey, I have an Irish surname and a German mum. Working weekends for Sunrise means a lot of interstate travel, but I avoid hotel buffets– mainly because I see it as an eating competition. My fitness and drinking go hand-in-hand– if I’m right into training, I drink less, purely because I’m more excited by getting up early and going for a ride.”
